The Swiss cheese plant is also known as split-leaf philodendron or Monstera deliciosa. It is a moist, well drained specie of flowering plant found in the tropical forests of southern Mexico, south to Panama. It is now found in the tropical forests in Hawaii, Seychelles, Ascension Island and the Society Islands.
